Corner to Corner

Corner to Corner
This is what am now working on a corner to corner afghan.
Here are 2 of the blocks that will be in the afghan.

I started with one 5 oz. ball of yarn and used it up. Then I started with a new color and decreased. I'm using the first block as my pattern for the others blocks. It turns out that the first color I used came out to 35 rows with very little yarn left over. The other colors I have ended up with a baseball size of yarn left over.?
I will add more pics as I go.

This is a dc 10 and ch 10 pattern.
I think it's called Chain Afghan?
You start with 252 chains, dc in the 3rd ch from hook (the ch 3 counts as a dch), dch in the next 8 sts, ch 10, skip 10 sts, (dc in the next 10 sts, ch 10, skip 10 sts, dc in next 10 sts repeat to the end), ch 3 turn.
At the ends you will have a ch 3 and 9 dc starting the next row. Ch 10, skip 10 sts, dc in the next 10 sts. You will repeat this until you get the length you desire.
NOTE: You need to loop up the chain as you go or wait to the end. ( I loop as I go.) You do this by twisting the first row of chains one time and loop the next one above it thou the chain and repeat until you have looped up all the chains.
**If you like you can twist the chains in each row for a different look.**
Last roll you will dc the 10, but slst thou the top of each ch when you come to it. That's the end.
It goes very fast, once you get started.
